Surrounded by lush gardens, courtyards with fountains and a beautiful wisteria arbor, the Spanish Colonial style Red Currant café offers Mediterranean-California cuisine. It is a favorite Peninsula site for luncheons, bridal/baby showers, weddings, corporate meetings and social occasions.

The Red Currant café is open Monday-Saturday serving breakfast from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm; lunch 11:30 am to 3:00 pm. Afternoon Tea is served Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4.

About the Chef

Ayelet Perry, Executive Chef and Owner, started her catering business over 10 years ago. Her passion for fine food and fresh ingredients inspire her many unique creations. She uses only the finest fresh ingredients in season, organic whenever possible, and builds on her masterful sense of taste and smell to create dishes that engage all of the senses. She not only creates the cuisine, but also the ambience surrounding it. The pairing of food, wine and atmosphere are her life’s pleasures. Whether she is planning a small intimate gathering, elegant wedding or large corporate party, her enthusiasm, attention to detail and appealing cuisine are always noticeable.
