Friends of Allied Arts

Friends of Allied Arts is a subcommittee of the Allied Arts Auxiliary dedicated to raising funds for the upkeep and enhancement of the gardens of the Allied Arts Guild, recruiting garden volunteers, and raising community awareness of the property by bringing new visitors to the complex.

Friends publishes two newsletters each year; in the spring and in the fall. The newsletter includes articles regarding the gardens, upcoming events on the property as well as new shops. It is mailed to members of the seven hospital auxiliaries in the Bay Area who support the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, to people who have attended FAA events, and to other interested individuals and organizations in the community.

Friends of Allied Arts Events

Friends of Allied Arts hosts several annual fundraising events, in addition to special one-time events such as wreath workshops, painting classes, flower arranging demonstrations, fashion shows, art shows, and trunk shows.

In 2009, our annual Pumpkin Days event will be replaced by a Harvest Festival on Halloween Day. Come join us for beer and wine tasting, a barbeque, and of course some great activities for the kids! In keeping with our philanthropic roots, each child is asked to bring a small gift for a patient at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.

Another favorite annual event is our Children’s Holiday Party. Local families have been enjoying this party for years. The party includes lunch, holiday crafts, entertainment (often a puppet or magic show), and a visit with Santa Claus.
